<Froborr> go
<@Sylocat> Is the sound weird or is it supposed to be muffled?
<@Sylocat> Ah, it's the latter
<Froborr> I think it's supposed to be
<@Sylocat> Oh boy
<@Sylocat> "Change everything forever and ever," and then it's something completely innocuous
<@Sylocat> Uh oh
<@Sylocat> Number of explosions predicted?
<Froborr> They're leaving the CMC home alone?
<@Sylocat> And that's how Equestria was unmade!
<Froborr> So... "accidental party trashes house" or "home invasion"?
<Froborr> Also: Joy. An Apple Bloom episode.
<@Sylocat> When the CMC are involved, the two are not mutually exclusive
<Froborr> I think at this point she's had more focus than Rarity.
<@Sylocat> Ooh, new writer
<Froborr> That looks suspiciously like the Dangerously Delicious Pies logo.
<Froborr> Mm... I want pie.
<@Sylocat> Hahah
<@Sylocat> Oh yikes
<@Sylocat> We've all been there
<Froborr> I haven't!
<Froborr> My parents were more of the "learn to swim by getting tossed in the pool" types.
<@Sylocat>
So, they're leaving her alone because she'll cause even MORE trouble if
she's along with them. That sounds much more plausible
<Froborr> Though that particular cliche never happened.
<@Sylocat> Ouch
<Froborr> Yes, that does make a lot more sense.
<mere_oblivion> @Sylocat may feel a tad shy about saying what kind of parents he had.
<Froborr> lol
<@Sylocat> This is a hoof-biter
<Froborr> *groans*
<@Sylocat> Applejack is a worrywart? This is new
<Froborr> Yes, Applejack, you are a silly pony.
<Froborr> Applejack IS the team mom, it's consistent.
<@Sylocat> Wait, the WHAT closet?
<Froborr> *bursts out laughing at Hats and Bows closet*
<mere_oblivion> Still, I'm glad to see Applejack showing even some signs of character development.
<Froborr> Very true.
<@Sylocat> Apple Bloom reading a book? That's less plausible than Rainbow Dash reading... oh wait
<Froborr>
On the other hand, "Applejack develops a vice just so that it can be
solved within one episode" is pretty much the standard Applejack plot.
<@Sylocat> Oh yikes
<mere_oblivion> True enuf, Froborr.
<@Sylocat> And "Carving a massive swath of destruction through everything in sight" is the standard CMC plot
<Froborr> I dunno, it's fun to read this episode as a commentary on how the writers cannot allow the CMC to grow up.
<@Sylocat> She should have put the pillows on the other end of the rake
<Froborr> That is a weirdly designed wheelbarrow to begin with.
<@Sylocat> Yo dawg...
<@Sylocat> (Helmetception?)
<@Sylocat> A crib?!
<@Sylocat> I almost feel sorry for Apple Bloom
<Froborr> The helmets are meta commentary on how the CMC all wear many hats in their quest for their cutie marks.
<@Sylocat> Oh nooooooooooo
<@Sylocat> They're going to make the deliveries
<Froborr> And then Apple Bloom got her cutie mark in Wacky Schemes.
<@Sylocat> Scootaloo? Has an idea?
<@Sylocat> "Gets tired?" If she gets tired, she can go to sleep
<@Sylocat> Ooh, musical number
<@Sylocat> ...Or not
<Froborr> lol, cutoff musical number.
<@Sylocat> Wait, now Apple Bloom's musical numbers are diegetic too?
<mere_oblivion>
Yeah, this isn't opera, where people routinely bellow for five minutes
before rushing off to rescue someone from the stake, gallows, etc.
<Froborr> Recently I noticed a first-season non-Pinkie diegetic musical number, but now I can't remember what it was.
<@Sylocat> The hardest part of this for the other two CMCs will be suppressing the gag reflex
<Froborr>
Okay. Wait. Applejack set up bales of hay so that Apple Bloom could
safely get down to the pie cart, but also doesn't know Apple Bloom left?
<Froborr> WHAT IS HER GAME?
<@Sylocat> HAHAHAHAH
<@Sylocat> Oh yikes
<@Sylocat> Applejack just picked up that crib
<@Sylocat> Adrenaline, like moms lifting cars off their kids
<Froborr> Applejack is hella strong, it's no big.
<@Sylocat> "Lion tamer's chair?" Is she going through the Everfree or something?
<Froborr> Wait, ricotta doesn't come in hunks.
<Froborr> It's more blobby. Almost a fluid, like yogurt.
<@Sylocat> Oh my Celestia, she IS going through the Everfree!
<@Sylocat> THE FIRE SWAMP!
<Froborr> Oh no, Apple Bloom's in the fire swamp!
<Froborr> Watch out for ROUS!
<@Sylocat> And it's an ROUS
<Froborr> ...or chimerae, that works too.
<@Sylocat> Or... a Chimera Of Unusual Size
<Froborr> Actually that's a fairly typical size for a chimera.
<@Sylocat> Wait, he's on her side?
<@Sylocat> Or not
<@Sylocat> Oh, they're after the PIES
<Froborr> Pie bandit chimerae! That's the BEST.
<@Sylocat> Or... not, again
<mere_oblivion> And they want Apple Bloom to try out the apple pie of forbidden knowledge.
<@Sylocat> Where's Fluttershy?
<Froborr> What about her?
<@Sylocat> Uh oh
<@Sylocat> Well, Fluttershy could give that chimera a good talking to
<Froborr> Ah, point.
<Froborr> Man, Apple Bloom's pretty strong, too.
<@Sylocat> Suddenly, Apple Bloom runs like Sonic the Hedgehog
<Froborr> Makes you wonder how tough Granny must've been in her day.
<@Sylocat> HAHAH... oh yikes, kindred spirits
<Froborr> Fireproof boots, lion tamers chair, snake charm flute, and ricotta!
<@Sylocat> Whoa, collapsable lion tamer's chair
<@Sylocat> Ouch
<@Sylocat> I almost feel sorry for the chimera, that can't be comfortable
<Froborr> I really love that the funny list was a Chekhov's gun, that was clever.
<@Sylocat> "Flame geyser swamp," gee, I wonder what that's a reference to
<Froborr> Yep.
<Froborr> Neigh Orleans?
<@Sylocat> Who... who is that?
<@Sylocat> Wait, is this Hollow Shades?!
<Froborr> Hollow what now?
<@Sylocat> I've wanted to see this town ever since I saw it on that map of Equestria
<Froborr> Eh, that was okay.
Two things: one, you gotta admire that work ethic and two, wonder what Big Mac's trip involved.
