Captain's Log, Weekly Digest 7

A summary of the past week of posts to my in-character Star Trek Online Tumblr, chronicling the adventures of E.N. Morwen, a science-loving and thoughtful young woman trapped in a galaxy of warring space giants.
  • Divide et Impera: In which Admiral Zelle is not what she seems.
  • Saturday's Child: In which STO decides that uncritically repeating some of the most problematic and racist elements of TOS is a good idea.
  • Preemptive Strike: In which the Watson slips in ahead of a Starfleet attack on the Rator System to rescue POWs.
  • Hunting the Hunters: In which the Watson away team falls into a trap while searching for missing scientists.
  • Project Nightingale: In which the Watson discovers a secret Romulan research project while attempting another rescue mission.
  • By Any Means: In which the Watson must stop the Romulan research project before they unleash something terrible.

  1. I'm subadmiral 2 and I think it's getting to the point where soloing advanced is no longer reasonable. Not necessarily because I'm suffering damage (although the first shuttle mission incurred two minor and one major injury to my Terciel), but because one mission put me up against three waves of Elachi and they were durable enough that splitting them up and killing them took an a hour. Per wave.

On the other hand, I keep going on without turning the difficulty down.

The Romulan Mystery episodes you're doing now are about to be replaced, according to the website. Do you plan to do the new version when it's released?

    1. I wasn't aware of that!

...Hmm... I will probably replay them, but whether I include them in the logs will depend on my ability to fit them into Morwen's story without self-contradiction. Maybe time shenanigans can be involved.
